The Imperfect First Post. Will You Hear Me Out?

"I Finally Started"

Writing in itself is funny. You're all pumped up to drop that epic piece and the moment you drop your fingers on your keypads
or your pen on that sheet of paper, all that enthusiasm amounts to a large void of nothingness.

Where did all the beautiful ideas go?

Did I even jot them down? Is this a joke? Do I have any business writing?

These are  the questions that pop up when I find myself in this type of situation.

Away from this situation for now but still related to it in a way, I was reading a tweet by @Moechievous (twitter.com/Moechievious)
on twitter where she was speaking about writing and how the only way to improve your writing skills is to just do that. "Write".

Inspired by that message, I picked up my phone (I don't have a fancy notepad for now *lol*)......
Just incase you're getting all inspired by this line, I hate to break it to you that I dropped my phone a couple of times too.

Yes!!!!

I procrastinated!!

Of course I did!!

Always looking for the perfect time, the perfect lighting for the dinning room in my parents’
house (PS: that's my badass study for now), the perfect mood, every single thing to make me have the perfect start.

I realised that my custom made conditions may never happen at the same time and I might have
to live 7 Life times before the forces of nature agree with me and align all my custom-made conditions for writing

Guess what I did though?

I tricked myself.

Yup!!

You heard that right! I tricked myself into writing this piece to you.

On my bed, just finished a movie, no preempted manuscript, no perfect lighting,
no perfect mood (even if I feel so happy right now 😁)

The Imperfect Start.

The best way to start.

Some of you might be wondering, "The Best Way to Start What EXACTLY?"

I'd leave the answer of that question to the next conversation we'll have, it's 12:32am
on a Saturday Morning and I'm not about to trap myself by attempting to answer your intrusive questions!!!

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Till next time ❤️

The Boy Who Started

  2. Welcome to the world of writers! It all started like this for most of us who felt writing must be done in a light of perfection however that's a deception that has hindered alot of persons to write. Another lie is that writers are born with it this also has been a stumbling block to those who want to write but think they are not good enough because they can't "match the standard of the in-born writers" . Writing however comes with emotions, pictures, events and activity that occurs in our daily lives and one thing about writing is once the urge to write is there and if not attended to immediately, it leaves that's why writers are advised to move about with Pens, pencils, notebooks, jotters, notepad or any writing material as they don't know what they'd see that will prompt to writing. Writing must not be edited immediately, that's another factor that makes new writers quit at start because they want their write-up perfect or sound perfect they tend to edit while writing No! Just let all that emotion flow into writing first before thinking of editing to the perfect English and all that comes with editing.
Once again I appauld you for this great courage to write. Writers are Leaders. Writing has changed the world and still changing the world.
    I am proud of you.
